Abstract
The features of the legislative framework and quality standards that ensure a high level of training for specialists in the vocational education and training system in Switzerland are revealed. The tools for accrediting educational programs and certifying students’ competencies after graduation are investigated. The importance of cooperation between the state, business, and educational institutions to ensure the practical orientation and compliance of vocational education with modern requirements is emphasized. Recommendations are proposed for the vocational education system in Ukraine, which aims to improve its quality and relevance to labor market needs
