Abstract
The problem of professional development of Ukrainian language and literature teachers in accordance with the pedagogical concept of scientific education is revealed. The peculiarity of the activity of a philologist teacher in the system of specialized scientific education is analyzed. The relevance of the development of the research competence of the lexicographer teacher is determined. It is noted that the system of scientific and methodological work of the scientific lyceum is designed to create favorable conditions for the development of the research competence of the philologist teacher.
